Everyday Tips For Incredible Hair (Pt. 2)

The first of the two blogs in this series was posted last week, where we talked about a few of the best tips to have excellent hair every day. From washing properly to conditioning before swimming, and being mindful of the heat you expose your hair to, we wanted to give you a few more everyday tips so you can enjoy and boast incredible hair even more often. Check out a few more of our favorite tips to get you on the train to soft, moisturized, and lovely hair.

Keep The Sun Off Your Hair

We slather up with sunscreen (or we should) when we spend time out in the sun, but we often don’t give a second thought to our hair being exposed to those same harmful rays. Consider checking out a few of the sprays that contain sunscreen for your hair, or keep it really simple and just make sure to bring a hat when you are going to be out in the sun.

Be Wary Of Dry Shampoo

While we love dry shampoo and how it is very helpful on those days between showering, be careful not to over do it. When you use too much of it or you use it for a few days in a row, it can start to be a problem. The pores in your scalp can get blocked up, it can cause pimples, and even cysts if you aren’t careful. Keep enjoying your dry shampoo, just be sure to use a high quality shampoo often to remove any build up and truly get your scalp clean.

Deep Conditioning

It is a great idea to use a deep conditioning treatment occasionally to help moisturize your hair and scalp and keep your locks from being frizzy and dry. You can purchase some high quality overnight masks if you like, or consider scheduling an appointment with your stylist. I mean, who doesn’t want to be pampered at the salon?

Bedtime Routine

If you tend to shower at night before hopping into bed, remember to dry your hair thoroughly before laying your head on those pillows. When you go to bed with wet hair, it can actually increase how quickly your hair gets oily because the water can’t evaporate well with the hair in direct contact with the pillow so your scalp creates extra sebum.
